Upon exiting the baggage claim area, you will see official taxi counters (like Blue Bird, a reputable company in Indonesia). You pay a fixed fare at the counter based on your destination zone in Medan, receive a ticket, and are directed to a driver.

• The Major Drawback: Medan Station is not in the main hotel/tourist district. The station is located in a less central, older part of the city.
